Website enquiries

The brief builder holds your selections temporarily on the page. You can download a text outline or open an email draft addressed to info@SelectAmbition.com. No message is sent until you send it from your email app, and the website does not submit or save your brief. Downloaded briefs remain on your device. We do not collect CVs through this website: follow the application route in the original vacancy advert.

Information we collect

Through our recruitment services, we may collect your name, contact details, CV, work and education history, professional qualifications, skills, availability, salary expectations, work-authorisation information, correspondence, interview notes, references and other information you provide. We may also receive information from referees, employers, professional networking sites, job boards and publicly available sources. Please do not provide sensitive personal data unless it is relevant and requested. Where recruitment requires health, background-check or other special-category information, we will explain why it is needed and apply an appropriate legal basis and safeguards.

How and why we use information

We use personal data to respond to enquiries, provide recruitment services, assess suitability for roles, communicate about opportunities, introduce candidates to prospective employers, verify qualifications and references, manage client and candidate relationships, operate and secure our website, and meet legal obligations.

Our legal bases are taking steps at your request before entering a contract, performing a contract, complying with legal obligations, and our legitimate interests in operating a professional recruitment business. Where required, including for certain marketing, optional cookies or special-category data, we rely on consent.

Sharing information

We may share relevant information with prospective employers and clients, referees, professional advisers, regulators or public authorities, and service providers supporting hosting, communications, job advertising, IT, security and recruitment administration. These providers may include Vercel and services reached through links on this site, such as Indeed and LinkedIn. We require service providers to protect personal data and use it only for authorised purposes. We do not sell personal data.

International transfers

Some providers or recipients may process information outside the European Economic Area. Where this occurs, we use an approved safeguard, such as an adequacy decision or Standard Contractual Clauses, together with additional safeguards where appropriate. Recruitment involving the United Kingdom may rely on the applicable EU adequacy decision while it remains valid.

Retention

We retain candidate information only as long as needed. Unless a longer period is required by law or agreed with you, candidate records are generally retained for up to 24 months after the last meaningful contact. Placement, client, contractual, invoicing and compliance records may be retained for up to 7 years. Unnecessary information is deleted or anonymised. You may ask us to delete your information sooner, subject to legal obligations and legitimate record-keeping needs.

Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or portability of your personal data. You may also withdraw consent and object to direct marketing at any time. To exercise a right, email info@SelectAmbition.com. We may need to verify your identity. You may complain to the Irish Data Protection Commission at www.dataprotection.ie.

Cookies and website technology

This website uses locally hosted fonts, images and video. No optional analytics, advertising cookies or tracking pixels are installed. Hosting and security providers may process technical connection information to serve and protect the website. You can reject optional cookies or change your preferences through Cookie settings in the footer. Your choice is stored on this device for up to 180 days. Read our cookie notice for details. Third-party websites reached through our links have their own privacy and cookie practices.

Website security and error records

To find broken links and resolve website faults, we record the time, error category and status, a filtered page path, the referring website’s hostname where available, and a random event reference. These records exclude query strings, form contents, IP addresses and browser identifiers. They are restricted to authorised staff and deleted after 30 days. Supabase stores these website records in Ireland. Hosting providers may separately process connection information to operate and protect the service.

Staff administration uses Microsoft sign-in. Access is checked against an approved staff account; essential encrypted cookies maintain the sign-in process and session. We use this information for our legitimate interests in maintaining and securing the website. We use appropriate technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal data. Please use care when sending sensitive information by email.

Automated decisions

We do not make decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects solely by automated means. Recruitment decisions involve human review.
